NFL Games to Watch: Week One

Tennessee @ Pittsburgh (Thursday, 8:30 ET, NBC)
How many reasons do you need? It’s the first game of the season and could easily be an AFC championship preview. Your other viewing choices include some show about vampires and Big Brother 11 (ELEVEN!? Really?).
Miami @ Atlanta (Sunday, 1:00 ET, CBS)
Matt Ryan went 22-29 for 234 yards, 2 TDs and no INTs in the preseason and will be looking to improve on a successful performance last year. Meanwhile, Miami will almost certainly use rookie QB Pat White in the league’s premiere Wildcat offense. And you know that’s going to be awesome.
Minnesota @ Cleveland (Sunday, 1:00 ET, Fox)
Tune in early to see who Eric Mangini has selected as his starting QB, a secret so closely-guarded that it took master spy Terrell Owens to sniff it out. Stick around to see how Brett Favre looks in his third uniform in as many years. Check back after halftime to make sure he hasn’t retired again.
Detroit @ New Orleans (Sunday, 1:00 ET, Fox)
Watch the end of this if you are the 1976-77 Tampa Bay Buccaneers to see if you should break out the champagne yet.
Chicago @ Green Bay (Sunday, 8:20 ET, NBC)
Aaron Rodgers vs. Jay Cutler and two solid linebacking units. This game just might be the classic it deserves to be.
Buffalo @ New England (Monday, 7:00 ET, ESPN)
Terrell Owens is always good for a year before the team coincidentally collapses around him through no fault of his own whatsoever. How convincing did that sound?
San Diego @ Oakland (Monday, 10:15 ET, ESPN)
Watch this if you can’t sleep. The fluid motion of the Chargers marching up and down the field should sufficiently lull your mind.
