NFL Games to Watch: Week Two

Carolina @ Atlanta (Sunday, 1:00 ET, Fox)

Tune in to see how many interceptions Jake Delhomme has to throw before freshly-signed A.J. Feeley takes the field.  Don’t count out the Panthers in this one though, especially if they manage to kidnap and brainwash Falcons QB Matt Ryan during halftime.

Minnesota @ Detroit (Sunday, 1:00 ET, Fox)

Call it The Handoff Standoff.  After rumbling his way to 180 yards and 3 scores against the Browns last week, Vikings back Adrian Peterson should expect to carry the ball often against a suspect Lions D.  Meanwhile, Lions QB Matt Stafford threw three picks last week and Detroit’s only hope is to try to establish a ground game.  Good luck with that.

Cincinnati @ Green Bay (Sunday, 1:00 ET, CBS)

Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco has vowed to attempt a Lambeau Leap if he scores against the Packers this week. Both possible outcomes will be entertaining:  He’ll either get a booze bath or mocked by Green Bay fans for not getting in the end zone.

New England @ New York Jets (Sunday, 1:00 ET, CBS)

Earlier this week, Jets fans received a recorded message from coach Rex Ryan imploring them to show up and help the team beat the Patriots.  If the unusual tactic doesn’t work, expect Ryan to draft new fans next April.  When asked if he would employ this method, New England coach Bill Belichick growled and punched a kitten.

New York Giants @ Dallas (Sunday, 8:20 ET, NBC)

It’s the first regular season game in the new Temple of Jerry Jones.  How often do you get the chance to watch people on TV talking about a TV?
